Toddlers Halloween Costumes
You have seen all the movies over and over again with your young child. You know they must have a toddlers Halloween costume or they will be
very upset this Halloween. Being the amazing parent that you are, you want to get them the costume that will make them happy and a cool superhero costume seems to be the perfect choice. With so many choices out there, how are you to be expected to choose between all the superhero outfits?
Superman is the obvious favorite of the DC Comics superheroes. His powers, strength, and good nature makes him someone we all want to be like. It is even easier to like his almost nerdy alter ego Clark Kent. His charm and good looks make it easy to identify with him and look up to him as a role model. Therefore, around Halloween time you will see lots of Superman costume toddler ideas. Every parent wants to think that their child will grow up to be a “super man”.
One of the variations on this type of costume is the one with the rippling muscles. These types of costumes have built in padding that create or accentuate muscles on the shoulders, arms, chest, abs, thighs, and lower legs. This type of outfit is molded already and can be made from plastic or firmly shaped cloth.
Another variation is with the Superman cape. Capes come in a variety of fabrics including silk, linen, and even plastic with cheaper costumes. (If your child is a little one, make sure that the cape material is not dangerous to them in any way. As with any costume, properly dispose of the packaging material as well so the child will not be harmed if they try to play with it.) Some Superman costumes have knee-length capes while others have even longer capes that go down to the floor. One clever type has flexible wires in the bottom of the cape so that you can bend them to make it look like the cape is flapping in the wind. How clever!
Color is yet another way to have differences in Superman costumes. While blue, yellow, and red are the three main colors that make up the outfit, variations on these colors do exist. The blue can be dark blue, light blue, or almost even a teal color. Some costumes have even replaced blue altogether with black! The style that you choose depends on many things including how realistic you want the costume to be and the price range that you have in mind.
